On Christmas Day of 2005 (25 December 2005) I embarked on a journey from London, England to Johannesburg, South Africa. From there I traveled for about a month up to Nairobe, Kenya, before flying back to London and then home again to Denver, Colorado, USA. The month I was in Africa was full of adventure and excitement and always kept me on my toes in terms of mental and visual stimulation. I learned a great deal there, about life, people, nature, and culture. This is my journal and thoughts of Africa, some of which I wrote while there, but a good deal I wrote sometime afterward. I would very much like to return there someday, but for now, these memories will suit me fine.
