What a blessed day, by and large. I woke up totally alone in the house without the prospect of seeing another resident of this place four at least four days. So, to begin, I started by getting ready and all of that, taking a long shower with the bathroom door open so as not to fog up the mirrors (one of the perks of solitary living). I then decided to get some groceries, but I decided to do it, by setting my trip on a journey down the Portobello Market, since that is where the grocery store I was going to was anyway. Now I have to admit, it can be very annoying to go on Portobello on a Saturday, because it is simply blockaded by people. This was not surprising to me, but at this time of year it is very full, the Summer is unimaginable, from basically my end all the way to Notting Hill Gate! Well, it does have its advantages, say if you want to buy something cheap or rare in London. Anyway, I walked the length of the market, or at least from my flat to Notting Hill gate, but you’ll get this all in my photo-narrative probably today. I walked there and turned around and walked back, it always amazes me how slowly people walk on that road, I mean I know they are almost all tourists and came there to peruse, but it is annoying if you live here. Upon my return journey, I went into Tesco’s to do what I originally sought out to do and that is get groceries, but I kind of stalked up for the weekend so I would not have to leave again. The problem with doing this is I bought £15.00 of groceries, which means a very heavy load to bring back. In addition, I still had to take some photographs and hold all my bags in my left hand!
On the way back, which was not too far, I met up with a girl I know who lives in my building, though I forget her name. A cute, and I mean that in the kitten and puppyist sense of the word, little red head who is an actress I believe, or at least she lives in the thespian flat. I took her picture as the concluding one in front of good ol’20, and thus concluded that journey. Ah, but the day was still young, so for the rest of it, I made some food, and worked on a lot of things, namely cleaning up the place, as it needed it. I also called my parents, or rather they called me, and got some music stuff settled. Finally, I did something a bit frightening, I started my malarial tablets, so, let’s hope I don’t get one of the many negative effects it brings, but after last night (today being the 11th) I don’t think anything bad came of it. That is basically the gist of my day, I got to bed kind of late, lonely frankly, not for my flatmates but for my friends... the only one I seem to talk to lately really, is Thomas, and a few other people here and there, but that is it for me. Catch ya on the flip-side, dudemeisters!
