Waking today a bit late, I proceeded to get ready, took a shower and the like and headed upstairs to eat breakfast. After that, we started a tour to the Scottish National Gallery, which was a very pleasant building with many pleasant and nice things in it. After that, we went to the Museum of Scotland, a newer building but a fun one full of Scottish artifacts so to speak. We walked around it, and I took many pictures from the roof. In it, were a working steam powered engine, a locomotive, and all sorts of great things, from primitive history to today. It reinforced my love of all things Scottish, because as the saying goes “If its not Scottish, its crap!” But in truth, it was fun to see such an immensely beautiful city as this. I also walked to the natural history museum which was very impressive as well, hoping to find the taxidermy stuffed Dolly, who is normally housed there, but she was on loan to another museum in Eastern Europe. Anyway, following this, I walked around and looked at various wool stores, hoping to find a tweed hat, but no luck in this. After a while, I came back to the hotel and waited for my class. I eventually decided to go out again and get some food at Sainsbury’s. When I got back, I got into a long discussion with one of the employee’s at the hotel about the legal systems of America and the UK, and also classism and dialectal differences between these two countries as well. Eventually all my mates came back and we left to the train station, where I watched a little Monty Python, or rather the documentary of it, and then gave my computer to Arial to watch it for the rest of the time. She eventually gave it back to me, and I updated the last three days of my trip and basically that is where I am now.
After we returned to King’s Cross, I quickly got home, and luckily the Hammersmith line was working well. When I got home I found the house very full with all of Seamus’ roommates sleeping in the living room, so I have not even seen it or them yet. Also Jessa was out with her friend who is also staying here this week with them. I did find Erika in her room and we talked for a while but I eventually quit with that, and finding the ever tired Seamus sleeping in my room already (as I had gotten back about 10:30) I decided to work in the only place I could, that being the hall, as there is no where else to work. Finally I found myself sitting on the commode of the bathroom, as the only other comfortable seat in the house. Thus concludes Jason’s night, save to say that he messed about on the internet and such, and that’s about it.
