23 November 2005

Full of business and hustle and bustle as usual. I woke up, went to advertising. Advertising was entertaining as always, but the subject matter we learned eludes me momentarily. Afterward, I went home for a bit, hoping my camera would be in by that point, but it wasn’t... but I just hung out, seeing as we did not have any field trips for my Architecture course. Next I went back to school and sat in my Classical Music course, learning a bit about Bach I think...

23 November 2005: At the Cadogan Hall

Tonight we went to Cadogen Hall again, this is the only venue that we have been to a second time, so it was kind of unique in itself for that opportunity. This particular night they played a variety of things, but in my mind it was not particularly outstanding or poor. This is not to say it was mediocre, or certainly not in the performance, but rather it was a matter of the music itself perhaps being a bit tired in my mind. They played a few pieces by J.S. Bach and one by a fellow named Kuhnau, whom I had not heard of before. They were mostly choral pieces (or technically songs I suppose). The hall itself was better this time, I must confess, because I had a better opportunity to witness the stage than I had before. As for the singers, the main singers (of which there were four if memory serves me rightly), seemed decent in my mind, but to my untrained ear it is not hard to impress me in that way. There was quite a lot of variation as I recall from the tempo of the songs and how loud they were. Overall it was not that thrilling of a concert but one that I am still happy I attended, simply to broaden my horizons of the London classical music scene if naught else.

After the concert, I just went home, tried to get ready for the upcoming weekend, but to little luck, and that was the extent of it... now on to the other blessed days that I must come up
