Well well well, this day was a busy and fun one. It started by me waking up, and getting my items together, ready to go to see Thomas at Mildenhall. Basically this meant throwing all the stuff I figured I would have or need for the weekend in my bag and, zoom off I was to the lovely terminus of King’s Cross. I was out of the house early enough and to the station... stopping at Marks and Spencer at the station to get some flapjacks. Yummy, and by flapjacks, I do not mean the pancake kind one finds in the US from the 1930's I mean the cookies (or biscuits to confuse everyone all the more). Anyway, on the train I found myself reading more of my book, just starting at that point I think, and enjoying the gloomy weather as well as the fantastical English countryside that I love so dearly. I arrived in Ely fairly early and was greeted straight away by Thomas and his family. It was so pleasant to see them again. On the way to Mildenhall, we tried to stop at Waitrose’s a store in the UK as they had some sort of special sale going on, but it was too crowded so we left. On the way back to the Huttons’ house, we stopped off there and then were off again to the lovely military base of Mildenhall. We ate the gracious and beautiful food of Taco Bell, oh how I had missed it, and then ran off again to the other military base of Lakenheath. There Thomas was kind enough to buy me Da Ali G show, season two.
After this we went back to their house, and we watched several things including an episode of Da Ali G show and the Family Guy, Stewie Griffin movie, which I may add was hilarious, like a TV joke (Homestarrunner reference). We also ate a fine chicken dinner, which was quite scrumptious and perfectly acceptable for such a splendid Thanksgiving. I was so happy to be in the presence of people whom I knew fairly well, especially Thomas, as we had lived together for a year or so. So after this wonderful day, I was then ready to find myself the next day on the trains to Stockton Heath, and I felt good about all and went to sleep.
