Well, today was certainly productive. We woke up around 08:30, and went to a seminar on how to get a flat in London, I was somewhat frightened by this because I was not sure how much the prospective flatmates I had met from the night previous would remember me and such, but fortunately it all panned out which I shall come to soon. We listened to what seemed to be quite the ordeal of getting fucked on (real) estate over here, but it also seemed exciting to find a little place we could call our own in London, one of the cultural capitols of the world, and I mean that in every way possible. Anyway, after that we split up and talked to Student helpers, so I was pretty stoked to try and figure that all out, and afterward they released us to the wolves. Anyway, I wanted to make a mention that everyone here (and especially the staff) seem very friendly for the most part and it looks like such a good year. I went upstairs was sitting there and watched my group of friends walk past me and felt a bit worried, but then Jessa came back and asked if I was going with them, I said of course.
After we left the hotel we went and had some tea in a nearby teashop. We discussed what we wanted and talked about things in Camden Town, as well as some things in Notting Hill, and apparently Marylebone, afterward, we went to an internet café and three of us spent 50p each on half an hour of internet access. I did not, otherwise I would have checked my email and all that jazz. We found some really cool prospects, and afterward decided to split up in two groups of four, and search and compare notes later. My group went up Edgware Road, which is a huge Arabic district apparently, and we saw two rather large flats, the first with four or five rooms, a large living room, a big kitchen and four lavatories. The second place was slightly smaller, but still really nice, and both were a bit more urban than I generally wanted. After that we went down to see our friends and how they were doing and they found two really nice modern looking flats with a lot of conveniences like ethernet, a washer, furnished, stocked kitchen, linens and phone.
Okay, I got tired of writing this the night I was writing it, so that is as far as I got, and then my computer petered out on me for a while, so I was unable to write anything else for a few days...
