Well today was certainly full, not to mention interesting and somewhat scandalous :-o This is not to say that it was overbearing, but then I guess it was... to begin, I had to be to my first class by 10:40 and having made that, I found my professor rather eccentric, rather British, and as a result of both put together, he was rather fascinating. Anyway, he teaches London History through Architecture and apparently we are going to go on a trip to Paris for the course at the simple added price of $390 or something like that... He seemed like a Rowan Atkinson character to me, kind of stumbling over his words, yet obviously intelligent about his subject. After that, I found that Judy had not only that class with me, but also my astronomy course as well. So, we went and got something for lunch during our period off, and just talked about our aspirations and backgrounds and stuff. She is a very nice girl, and I would like to see her more during the course of this semester. I wanted to go and see the Lootseum (or British Museum if you will), but did not have enough time, so definitely tomorrow, during my four hours off, I may take a long stroll down that path.

After our little break, we started our astronomy course, where we had a substitute professor, and the habit of taking afternoon naps or British siestas as I like to call them, turned out to be a bad one, because I ended up barely keeping attention there and dozed off more than once even with our little mid-class break. I felt guilty, but was happy when the course was over. After that, I went and got my laptop set up with orbit8 and then headed to the travel meeting... it was so much to take in, and there is so much I want to do, I don’t think I’ll have time for it all, but we’ll see. Anyway, I did sign up for the tours to Dorset, Brighton, and most importantly by far the tour to Edinburgh, my favourite city in Britain. I also happened to see my professor from the architecture course there, and he gave a little speech about travelling around Britain independently, so I asked him a good deal of questions after that, and he even offered to take me and a few other students back to his home in East Anglia, which sounded great to me, so I think I’ll definitely keep that in mind. After the seminar, I went back by way of Holborn station to King’s Cross, transferring to the Hammersmith line, and having to switch trains for some reason to do with the circle line at Edgeware Road station. The interesting thing to me is, that we are almost catacorner to where the bus bombing happened, and I have to ride and take King’s Cross most days where another bomb happened and go through Edgeware Road, another bomb, where the other one happened I don’t know at the moment, but am curious to find out.

After I arrived home, I went out and got some Bangers and Mash, and went to Tesco to get some ginger beer, and on my way there, I met a fellow who offered me weed, naturally I declined him, but on the way back, the same guy offered me an unlimited tube pass for £40, I only had 15 on me, so he gave me the pass and told me to return with the other 25, which I did, so it may potentially be the most foolish thing I’ve done here, but maybe it could save me a good deal of money too, we’ll see, although the name on the card is Hakim, so I think it might be hot, but we’ll see. I would not normally have done it, but I heard about a kid last year who did something similar and did not have to stop using it until late November, and I figured it might work, if not, it will just be a kind of expensive life lesson, but nothing I could not handle. Anyway, I then came home, figured out how to get pictures on my LJ, and wrote this, and desperately need to go to bed. So that is it, hope it was entertaining!
